I’m never one to pass up the opportunity to take the vacation days I have and go someplace new and exciting. Whether it’s in the country or outside of it, I’m always anticipating what kind of new memories and stories my next travel destination will give me.

Land, Air, And Sea: Vacation And Blog Hiatus

The official start of summer is June 21st and it’s about that time most people will be planning getaways, whether it be big or small. When you’re a working adult, it almost doesn’t matter when you take off for vacation. As long as there’s no conflict with work and personal schedules, you can go away any season. But one advantage of going away during the summer is the warmer weather. The clothes you pack will be lighter and there’s no need to lug around a bulky winter jacket, at least if you’re not heading to Antarctica. What’s with all this talk of vacations and summer? I’ll be heading out on my next adventure!

“To Travel Is To Live”: Reflections On A Summer Vacation

When flying back home to New York City after an extremely fun and whirlwind cruise around Europe, covering mainly the Scandinavian countries along the Baltic Sea, I came across this information board about Denmark’s most famous author Hans Christian Andersen at the Copenhagen airport. A quote from his own autobiography entitled The Fairy Tale of My Life was highlighted on this board which really resonated with me, “To travel is to live.”

Setting Sail And A Blogger Recognition Award!

My readers may already be aware of this, if you read my recent video game challenge post, but in case you aren’t, I’ll be cruising around Europe for about a week and a half starting this week. During this time period, my blog will be a little quiet until I return after the Fourth of July weekend. I should hopefully feel invigorated and a little less jet lag when you start seeing regular posts resume.
