Give Thanks: Video Game Characters I Would Have Friendsgiving With

Thanksgiving is just a few days away for many Americans who celebrate it. It’s a time for family (or friends) to gather together once more to give thanks for what we have and to eat ourselves into a turkey induced coma. While I look forward to piling my plate high with turkey, stuffing, mash potatoes, and all the traditional foods you would see at a Thanksgiving table, what I really enjoy the most is the quality time I get to spend with my family. Food and great company are a perfect pairing, and it makes me think about a scenario in which I’d be able to celebrate Thanksgiving, or Friendsgiving, with some of my favorite video game characters. In honor of Thanksgiving week, I have created a shortlist of a cast of video game characters I would most want to spend Friendsgiving with.

Video Game Challenge Progress Report 7 (Special Edition): Phoenix Wright – Spirit Of Justice

A little progress is better than no progress. It’ll always be a challenge to divide my time between everything I want to do during my downtime. In the end, you do find a way. It also helps when you have a long weekend to do a little gaming. While all of America is wrapping up their Memorial Day weekends, let’s check in and see where I’m at with my progress for Spirit of Justice.

Video Game Challenge Progress Report 6 (Special Edition): Phoenix Wright – Spirit Of Justice

April has been a jam packed month between attending PAX East, planning out a birthday, and taking care of a personal family matter. Despite the balancing act I found myself in this month, I was determined to make time for Spirit of Justice. On the final day of the month, let’s find out if my persistence finally paid off.

Video Game Challenge Progress Report 5 (Special Edition): Phoenix Wright – Spirit Of Justice

Winter’s chill is thawing and the weather is beginning to get warmer and nicer. At least that’s the hope for many parts of the country, even if it may not seem like it. Our days of spending a lot of time indoors may be waning with the spring weather beckoning us to go outside. What does this mean with my video game challenge? Let’s find out how far I got with Spirit of Justice this month.

Video Game Challenge Progress Report 4 (Special Edition): Phoenix Wright – Spirit Of Justice

A challenge isn’t a challenge if there aren’t some bumps along the way. After a delayed start with my video game challenge at the beginning of the new year, I managed to pick things back up with Spirit of Justice as promised this month. We’re in the final week of February and it’s time to report on how far I’ve gotten with the game.

Video Game Challenge Progress Report 3 (Special Edition): Phoenix Wright – Spirit Of Justice

The holiday season is upon us. Thanksgiving has come and gone, and some of us are now preparing for Christmas. It’s the one time of year where everyone gets hit with one holiday after another. After taking a few days to recover from the food induced coma and the traveling shuffle from one gathering to another, we’re back at it again to start making those lists of holiday gifts to buy for loved ones or get our homes dressed up to the nines with festive decorations. It’s a busy time for us all and it’s any wonder if all collective gamers can find time in their tight schedules to add a few hours of video game time. In a wrap up of November, let’s see how I did with Spirit of Justice.

Video Game Challenge Progress Report 2 (Special Edition): Phoenix Wright – Spirit Of Justice

On the day before Halloween, it’s almost fitting to have Spirit of Justice my current ongoing video game challenge. Halloween is more than just dressing up in costume or eating your way through a bar or two of Snickers. It’s also about ghost stories and spirits that may still haunt the land of the living. Or in the case of this entry of the Ace Attorney series — get the justice the dead deserve. There’s no rest for the wicked and it’s time to see how much further I’ve gotten with the game.

Video Game Challenge Progress Report (Special Edition): Phoenix Wright – Spirit Of Justice

As the weather gets cooler and our days grow shorter, it’s starting to become the perfect time to snuggle in with a video game or two. My summer in video games has been pretty solid with much of it occupied with Mass Effect: Andromeda, knocking out some additional video games in the span of a month, and completing Dual Destinies last month. Getting closer to being all caught up with the Ace Attorney series, it made sense to make my next video game challenge for September the last (but maybe not final) game of the series Spirit of Justice.

Video Game Challenge Progress Report (Redux Edition Part 5): Phoenix Wright – Dual Destinies

Some of you might feel a bit confused by the number on the title if you haven’t been following my ongoing video game challenge series for the blog. The number corresponds to the last time I played Phoenix Wright: Dual Destinies when it was my spotlight game to finish in a month. Or rather, over the next few months. It was set aside to play Mass Effect: Andromeda back in March until I satisfactorily beat the game. With Andromeda done and off my backlog list, I decided to turn my attention back to Dual Destinies for the month of August. Quick warning, there will be light spoilers about Dual Destinies.

Video Game Challenge Progress Report (Redux Edition Part 4): Phoenix Wright – Dual Destinies

After taking a brief break from my video game challenges to gleefully play Final Fantasy XV a bit longer, February became the month I would dutifully return to my ongoing video game challenge with Phoenix Wright: Dual Destinies. Has Dual Destinies become the comeback kid for video game challenges this month?
