Nothing ever truly goes out of style and that has never been more true with the resurgence of all the 90s looks making a comeback in the last few months. I grew up during the 90s, and there were plenty of fashion from that decade I took inspiration from or longed to be old enough to wear someday. With the 90s nostalgia taking over runways and local retail stores lately, I couldn’t help but reminisce over the clothes I adored.

Turning What’s Old Into New Again: Why I’m No Longer Interested In Shopping For New Fashion Pieces

Moving into a new home is one of the biggest headaches you’ll ever deal with in your adult life. Not only is everything in a disarray, but it’ll take you months to feel settled into your new place, especially if you’re purchasing a whole slew of new furniture. But one of the unexpected takeaways I’ve gotten from moving, and I’ve learned some lessons along the way, is the realization that you really don’t need another pair of shoes or that cute new dress you saw at that store. What you currently have is more than enough and it can even feel “new” again if you adjust your mindset.

Honoring The Video Games I Love Through Fashion

If I could define my personal, day-to-day style it would be simple, classic, and subtle. I wouldn’t consider myself the “obvious geek” who would wear graphic tees that boldly display the name of a video game or character’s face on it. I usually prefer wearing fashion that pays tribute to the geeky things I love in more low-key ways.

In recent years I have been on the lookout for clothes that are casual and comfortable but stylish at the same time. Because of the ongoing pandemic there has been a rise in lounge wear and clothes that are far more dressed down than pre-COVID times. While I have been opting for more T-shirts and hoodies lately, I’m always looking for geek wear that continues to be less overt about game or anime references I absolutely love.

Coming Out Of Fashion Hibernation: The Styles I’ll Be Sporting This Summer

As parts of the world slowly reopen people are re-emerging from a year of self-isolation and social distancing. Everyone is eager to party and mingle like it’s 2019. With restaurants, events, and travel no longer off limits, now is the time for everyone to step out of the house in more than just sweats. As the second half of the year appears to be a salvageable one for most, it has been the perfect time to start dusting off some outfits that have been in storage since last year and show them off as you brunch with friends or catch a live concert. V’s Got The Look: The Fashion Of Cyberpunk 2077

Three months into CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 and the game never fails to stun every time I load it up and play. Night City is a gritty, neon colored dream (or hell) and it’s easy to get lost in the different neighborhoods that make up the world. One of the things I love most about the game is the many styles and options a player has to dress up their character V. When I’m not busy hacking, shooting, or fighting my way through Night City, I’m spending part of my time hunting down new pieces of clothing to create a unique look for V. My efforts in coming up with the best outfit combinations has led to an ever growing collection of pictures of V nailing each look every time she’s out on the town. Sign Of The Times: Coordinating Face Masks With Your Outfits

Seasonal transitions often means doing a little rearranging in your closet to store away clothes that are no longer appropriate for the current weather, and digging out the ones that are. When the dog days of summer leaves us to make way for autumn’s cooler embrace, I always look forward to pulling out my warm sweaters and comfy boots. Due to the current pandemic, our fall season over on the east coast of the United States is looking a lot different this year compared to last year. I’m still very much working from home, and the only time I do go out is for walks or takeout on nights when I want a break from home cooked meals. When looking presentable for a short time out is necessary, I’m looking for fun ways to match the cloth masks I have with whatever outfit I have on.

Do It With Style: Living Out All My Fashion Fantasies Through Animal Crossing – New Horizons

Spending most of your time at home, until it is deemed safe to resume life somewhat normally again, means you’re no longer figuring out what to wear each day. Your outfit of choice when you’re working from home is either your PJs or sweatpants. When your every day clothes has been reduced to whatever is comfy at home, unless you have to show your face from the waist up for a video conference, there hasn’t been a lot of need to “dress to impress” these days. Although the pandemic has temporarily taken the stress out of deciding what to wear before leaving the house each morning, I do find myself longing for a time where I was able to wear my prettiest dress to a party or donning a favorite sweater and jeans when I went to the office. The fashion deprivation I’m currently going through has led me to live my best stylish life through Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

The winter snap and icy chill in the air will have people wrapped up in their coziest sweaters and warmest coats. It’s the kind of season where all you want to do is hibernate with a good book, a bingeable TV series, or an immersive video game. But for those days when you do get out in the world, sometimes you want to look your very best and dress up a bit. I’ll have moods where I’ll want to wear something pretty and flirty, but also have it be practical for the coldest months of the year. Luckily, the ongoing trend of the season is the pleated long skirt.
