Land, Air, And Sea: Vacation And Blog Hiatus

The official start of summer is June 21st and it’s about that time most people will be planning getaways, whether it be big or small. When you’re a working adult, it almost doesn’t matter when you take off for vacation. As long as there’s no conflict with work and personal schedules, you can go away any season. But one advantage of going away during the summer is the warmer weather. The clothes you pack will be lighter and there’s no need to lug around a bulky winter jacket, at least if you’re not heading to Antarctica. What’s with all this talk of vacations and summer? I’ll be heading out on my next adventure!

Far Cry 5: Adventures In Online Co-op Play

My friend and I started a tradition of playing games that offer an online multiplayer feature or cooperative play ever since I joined the vast and wonderful world of video games. We have played everything from Borderlands to Overwatch. It’s quality time we look forward to scheduling every other weekend when we may not always see each other in person due to conflicting work schedules. It has made playing and finishing games easier and fun when you have another person uniting in your cause to seeing a game through to the end, or at least having a partner to fight a particularly hard boss. The latest game to be added to our small but growing collection of games we can and have played together is Far Cry 5.

TV Show Review: 13 Reasons Why Season 2

When books get adapted for screen or television, it’s almost certain there’s a clear and definitive end, at least if it’s not a book series being adapted. If you read the book prior to the adaptation, you get to decide if the movie or show is a worthy interpretation of its original source material. Or if you haven’t read the book before watching the adaptation, it may convince you to read the book. I’ve always been convinced a standalone novel that becomes a movie or TV show would always be enjoyed as a self-contained story, a one-time piece of entertainment to consume and re-watch whenever you feel like revisiting it. Instead, when a show or limited series becomes a massive hit, albeit a bit controversial, studios are quick to renew it for another season. That’s the end result of Netflix’s original series 13 Reasons Why.
