It’s the day after Christmas and New Year’s is poised to have its turn in the holiday spotlight. As some of us are recovering from another holiday of eating, drinking, and successfully navigating a boisterous get together with loved ones, I’m taking some time to dutifully give you my end of the month progress report with my ongoing video game challenge.
Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year. The smell of pine in the air as trees are being sold on the sidewalks. The lights and decorations brightening up a window display or cozy home. The presence of family and friends as you eat and exchange presents by the Christmas tree. It’s a magical time, but sometimes I can’t help but wonder what it might be like to experience Christmas in my favorite video game or book. In the spirit of the holiday season, I’ve listed a few fictional worlds I wouldn’t mind spending Christmas at.

I know what you’re thinking, especially if anyone follows along with my video game challenges on the blog, “Why is she playing Final Fantasy XV when she’s supposed to be focusing on her ongoing video game challenge?” The answer is simple really––I’m weak! I may be tipping my hand early with how my next end of the month progress report will most likely turn out based on being successfully seduced by a new and incredibly sexy game, but I played it and do have some early reactions to what I’ve experienced so far. Spoiler Alert: It’s so much fun.
Deciding what new shows to tune into every fall season is often met with a little bit of caution and a dose of pickiness for me. There are so many options and ways to watch TV now that it can be overwhelming to pick a show and stick with one. When I’m not already devoted to one series, I often wonder if giving a new show a shot is worth the time and effort it takes these days to watch anything at all. Dare I open my heart up to a potential new favorite? Well, open my heart up I did and I’m glad I did too. Here’s a short list of what shows I’m absolutely loving from the 2016 fall season.
