2015 End Of The Year Reflections & A New Year Hiatus

There’s something about the end of the year and birthdays that always puts me in a reflective state of mind. Maybe it’s because I have a tendency to go inward a lot and I’m not afraid to take an honest look at how I did this year or how I’m doing so far, as far as personal growth and life goals go. I always find something hopeful about the promise of a new year or age because I see them as an opportunity to do something differently with my life or change the course of my current direction if I’m not happy with where I’m at or where I’m going. It’s time I close out 2015 with an end of the year reflection for my blog.

Listmas 2015: Five Films That Got Me Into The Christmas Spirit As A Kid

We all grow up with certain family traditions and traditions tend to be more prominent around the holiday season. But what if you stumbled upon the power to eliminate any wicked or despicable person (murderers, rapists, and the corrupt) from this earth by simply writing their name in a notebook and dictating the nature of their death as an accident or suicide? It’s a situation high school student Light Yagami encounters in the anime Death Note.

Taking A Break: When Video Game Challenges Take A Holiday

It’s amazing when the rest of the year makes a mad dash towards the end and we eventually find ourselves in a brand new year. The holidays continue to keep us busy until New Year’s, we tie up whatever loose ends we need to before we’re off to celebrate our respective holidays, or we get reflective as we try to imagine all the hopes and goals we want to achieve when the calendar flips to January 1st. Having entered the month of December left me thinking about what I have to do before 2016––I need a break from my video game challenges.
