The release of Dragon Age: Inquisition has come and gone and most of us has already dove in, head first, into the game. If you’ve been following my video game challenges on this blog, you’ll know I’ve given myself the ultimate challenge of completing as much of Inquisition for the rest of the year. Because the size and scale of this game is more massive than the previous installments of the Dragon Age series, I’ve decided to write a series of blog posts known as the DAI Inquisitor’s Log. I’ll chart my progress with the game and provide my overall thoughts on it as I progress. Let’s see how I did on my first week with the game.
When it comes to makeup, I hardly know a thing about it. The use of eyeshadow, blush, mascara, and eyeliner are all foreign objects to me. Sure, the pretty colors dazzled me and I appreciate other women who are able to make their faces a certain way and make it look effortless. Me? I grew up with a mom who encouraged me and even my older sister that makeup is unnecessary for us. My mom always told us we both have naturally pretty faces, makeup is meant to enhance what you already have, a natural beauty is better than an overly made up one, and the only makeup we needed is lipstick to give us a dash of color.
The only makeup in my personal beauty arsenal has always been lipstick or lip gloss. I may not voluntarily buy other makeup products, but I’m certainly obsessed with getting particular lip colors that work well with my skin color. As anyone would know, once you find THE brand for you, most will faithfully stick to that brand and buy more of it when you run out of your favorite product. So what happens when your favorite brand of lipstick ends up being discontinued? The search for a new lip color that’s close to your favorite discontinued brand is on.
We’re inching ever so closely to the end of 2014 and the video game challenges I’ve set up for myself at the start of this year has been an interesting project to take on. I can’t say the project has been 100% simple, and you’ll get a full end of the year report about my own thoughts during the entire time I stuck with the game challenges, but I can say it has been worth the effort I put into it. Because November is a special month for Dragon Age fans, I have been alluding in previous posts, for quite some time now, how the rest of the year for my video game challenges will look like. Get ready because the Inquisition has arrived and taken over simpleek!
November 1, 2011 is the exact date when I officially started the blog you know as simpleek! The first post I published on that date isn’t anything special. Like any newbie blogger, I wanted to introduce myself and describe what I intended to write. I didn’t have any readers or any traffic for my blog at the time. Now that it’s 2014 and the month of November, I have approximately over 69,000 hits for my blog and 929 followers at the time of this post. I’ve come a long way! The blog has turned three years old and I couldn’t be happier.
